We stay safe in God’s best or jump the guardrail and splat.
There was a time in my life when I allowed something to chip away at my soul. Before I knew it, I had not only stepped over the balustrade, but fell on the rocks below in a fiery ball.
Did I recover? Yes and that situation actually made me a stronger woman who is confident in my beliefs. God knew what was best for me and after getting aligned with Him, I started wanting what was best too instead of what was available.
I put up a strong balustrade that no one could move or bend because I didn’t want to go through that scorcher again.
We really do know what is best for us, too, but sometimes pressure to fit in, rejection and just wanting attention make us choose unwise things.
Hosea 5:10, “Judah’s leaders are like those who move boundary stones. I will pour out my wrath on them like a flood of water.”
Our best is what God wants. He set up rules for our BEST, not so we would have no fun or because he wanted to control us. He gave us free will! We get to choose our actions, words and feelings. We stay safe in God’s best or jump the guardrail and splat.
Use these strategies to help you stay on the right side of the barrier:
Choose your issue
Define your best outcome
Set your boundary
Decide what is considered over the line
Pre-record responses when things get too close to the boundary you set
Be confident not guilty for boundaries
Be bold
Don’t feel ashamed for doing something that is best for you
I have learned the easy choice comes with the most consequence but the hard choice comes with the most pride. The good pride. The pride that comes when you choose God over the world.
I have learned the easy choice comes with the most consequence...
Where do you need to set boundaries? Jumped over those walls already? You can leap back, set new goals and start over! I believe in you and I did it so you can too.
As a Life Coach, this is what I do. I help women discover goals, set goals, break down strongholds keeping you from the goals and help you achieve your dreams. Don’t keep falling into a ball of flames. Give me a call to finally feel the pride when you find and achieve your God-anointed purpose.
